How to identify your igniter
You don’t need to know the brand. Four things are enough:
- Thread, flange or smooth body — most commonly 3/8″ or 1/2″ thread;
- Body diameter (mm);
- Length — with or without the thread/flange (say which);
- Wattage and voltage — printed on the old igniter or in the documentation.
A photo of the old igniter plus these measurements gets you an exact quote.
Why our igniters last
The igniter is treated as a consumable — and at mass producers, quality varies even within a single batch. We hand-build and test every igniter, which lets us eliminate the hidden defects automated production bakes in.
The most common failure of ceramic igniters is cracking from burner vibration and contamination by pellet dust — our design targets exactly that, after extensive real-world testing. The heavier body (Ø12 vs Ø9.5–10 on the originals) is part of the answer.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a pellet burner igniter be replaced?
It depends on how often it fires and the igniter’s quality — usually every 1–2 heating seasons. An igniter that fires several times a day wears faster.
Can I replace the igniter myself?
In most burners, yes — it’s within reach of a technically minded owner. On Ferroli-type kits the heater demounts from the air tube and is replaced on its own.
Your igniter is Ø12 mm but my original is Ø9.5 — will it fit?
Yes — it’s designed as a direct replacement. If you’re unsure about your model, send a photo and measurements and we’ll confirm before you order.
What are the signs of a burnt-out igniter?
The burner won’t light, or lights slowly and after several attempts, while the feed system works and the nozzle is clean.
What should I send to get a quote?
A photo of the old igniter and its measurements (diameter, length, thread/flange), plus wattage and voltage if legible. We reply with a firm price and lead time.
Is there a warranty?
Yes — a 6-month commercial warranty covering manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage from improper use: a clogged or unmaintained device, blocked airflow and resulting overheating. The commercial warranty does not affect consumers’ statutory rights.
Do you make igniters for models outside the list?
Yes — we build to sample for practically any burner, stove or boiler model.
